Drawn to the layered ecology and varied coastal light of Monterey County, Lily joined Ground Studio in the spring of 2025, bringing with her a deep interest in the intersections of space, place, and culture. Her sense of place was shaped by a childhood spent between two Washingtons – from the historic fabric of Washington, D.C. to the alpine landscapes of Washington State.
Lily is fascinated by the relationship between people and the environment, and throughout her career has remained attuned to the intentionality of the built world. She approaches design as a way to explore place as both a physical and emotional landscape.
She holds a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s in geography and environmental studies from UCLA. Her work is rooted in storytelling, using design to reveal the quiet connections between memory and place.
