This site is nestled along the west slope of Mayacamas mountain range with mixed woodland and open grassland habitats. The site is gently sloping with deeply cut, wooded ravines flanking the main building site. There are wide angle south and westerly views toward the abundant agricultural land of Alexander and Knights Valley, with a backdrop of layering coastal ranges beyond. From within the courtyard you experience oak covered ridge views to the northeast. These flanking woodlands and lone majestic valley oaks anchor the meadow and create a ‘nested’ feeling for the carefully arranged buildings. The buildings gather to create courtyards that make space for herbs and edibles, a swimming pool, and comfortable people spaces in a rural Sonoma County flavor.
